I made this beat and wrote the song over 15 years ago. At the time, I had no idea how to record and mix myself, the equipment was far less advanced and people weren't there to help me and show me how to make it sound good. I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG. THe beat has some non traditional samples, like an elevator bell and some noise that were atonal, and a bit weird. I also included a vocal sample that said breathe that came with the reason soundbank.. for some reason it was a perfect fit.
The verse came from maybe 2008 or 9 .. when Obama was first elected and we were getting out the fog of George Bush (W) .. The rhyme pattrn is dense in terms of the words being close together and not a lot of multi compartmentalized internal rhyme schemes. I try to play more with the consonance, assonance and phonemes .. and bend a few words to work with each other (lil wayne style). - you get the vibe.
He battles much harder than most artists trying to harvest fields in sparta starves on meals of karma...
