This project is a one hour and 27 minute dedication to one of my favorite artists and performers.
Simple premise - play André 3000‘s "new blue sun" from beginning to end and rap on as much of it as possible; doing as few punch ins as possible and no add libs or no overdubs.
there is no concern for song structure or organizational strategy - I just read the raps to the music .. read the poems of the music.. read the essays to the music ... and let it be what it’s going to be.
I purposely chose not to sample or remix any of the instrumentation but to leave as is, out of respect and reverence.
I recorded the lyrics over the course of two days.

In order for this project to fit on band camp I broke it into four parts. The original work is one piece from beginning to end you can contact me directly and I can get you the full length file.
