The Throne Rests on Mud

about

Tony sent me this beat and at first I was confused. its not long enough, how can I make a song out of this. And then I realized.. why do I think that songs have to have a particular format? What can I do with this piece to play of the musicality and the vrevity.. both of which took me by surprise. I am not a melodic rapper so the idea of doing jazz scatting or singing was not plausible.. this was my way of getting inventive. I see the will to power and the throne rests on mud, kill the flower just to bless the bud. Show love for those that rest above.. the lyrics are real to me. Humans seem to be violent towards one another.. yet we find compassion and caring in that violence. People need each other. The dichotomy is ever present. Schopenhauer wrote about people being insatiable. people seeking the throne.. only to find out that its monkeys wrestling over a throne that rests on mud.

lyrics

I see the will to power and the throne rests on mud, kill the flower just to bless the bud. Show love for those that rest above..
stay jolly with the breakfast club
buzzed from nugs
never see the judge
hold a grudge and i wont budge
let the guinea pigs test the frugs
take a step dont break your neck -peep
eight left dont play with death - speech
stay fresh always been def - deep
paid less but the stage is blessed
