Beat by Yoboy. At the time, my flatmate tended to make soulfull beats, or songs that had a lot of room for harmony and melody.. this beat was just hard. The drums knocked heavy and the intensity of the keys was exciting. I wrote and recorded a verse that has a lot of metaphors, similes and other literary devices - it is very fantastical. yes, I address real life issues and social dynamics but I also take a more figurative approach and use a good deal of allusion and parallelisism.
I had my homie Grey Matter jump on the track and the addition was stellar.
