1. The Beat. My equivalent to sludge metal. Dragging, a lot of low end, and an intensity that is seemly doom oriented. There is something brewing, something building, there is a depth and seriousness. This track does not exhibit frivolity or whimsy. No real samples in this. I played the baseline and plotted the horns, tones that you hear. Drums were def supposed to knock on this and there may be some ship whistle noise clips.
2. This is not one of my wordier songs. I tried to be concise and say what I meant.. not a lot of wordplay or obfuscation. I do have to add some flare.. like on the part that says "Liquid gold, neils bohr, noble gas, roll the grass, pass the jay.. they dont know the half, the maths just a passageway." thats a deep line.. we are talking about oil, the blood of the planet, the value of gold and the history of what gold symbolizes, science and alchemy (think about the nuclear age and what it has meant for humanity), drug use, and the feeling that math and science are necessary and inextricably liniked to understanding the world around us in inside us.. they are still only avenues to the truth.. one of many conduits.
